Arctic Gymnastics Center has been in business since founder Carolyn Crouch opened its doors in 1988 as the third gymnastics club in the Anchorage area. Carolyn offered recreational and competitive gymnastics and later added childcare to her center.
Carolyn ran Arctic for 8 years until health issues forced her to sell the business. In June 1996 Karin Carter and Sheila Vonesh purchased the business from Carolyn. Karin and Sheila had daughters on the competitive team.

Arctic Gymnastics continued to thrive and produce top athletes. In 1999, Arctic lost its lease and moved to its current location. The business downsized to fit the facility by dropping the childcare program. In 2003 Dan and Nichole Alch purchased the business and are looking forward-to making many improvements they've planned.
